Cozy Apartment | Near Downtown Fort Myers

Highs and lows… Stayed for five days for the Evening with the Authors event on a Friday and for Southwest FL Reading Festival the next day. The locations for both events were on either corner of the complex so it was the perfect location. The room faces the parking deck/Cornog Plaza. Host responds in a timely manner. Loved having an apartment in the middle of all the action so things were walkable. Safe place. The AC isn’t great. Takes a while to cool things down. Gnats in the shower. Toothpaste from prior guest on faucet. Floors a bit dirty so I had to wear socks or house shoes because walking barefoot felt gross. Only one small roll of toilet paper for 3 people over 5 days. Not enough clean towels and rags for stay. Host advised me go down the hall to do the laundry. Would stay again based on location but would look into other options if I went to the festival again.

The curtain was melted to the window thus unusable, they left us 1 1/2 roll of toliet paper for the week. Very basic, no extra blankets, not maintained very well, was supposed to get a key fob for the pool but there was not one. no instructions for the tv, spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

The apartment was supposed to be unlocked but was locked when we arrived. Waoted for the Host to send someone to unlock. The key barely worked. Then there were ants all around the door casing, a bad smell when entering, the fllor was sticky, and the air conditioner was barely working. The smell and the air condition got better. Host replied that he would sendcsomeone out to check, but no one ever came. I asked for a refund, but after that, he would not respond. We ended up staying and survived the first night. The ants spread to other areas of the apartment but the beds seemed clean. The 2nd night, there was a hall party that began next to us, moved into the entire hallway, and then lasted into the early hours of the night. We got very little sleep for our flight home the next day. I'm not sure I will ever stay in a VRBO again.

Better communication. Could not use television or WiFi as no information was provided. It took 4 days and several conversations with the staff to resolve the issues.
